Love these fall mornings when it's not raining in the PNW! Today's sunrise was breathtaking and the cows are always pretty cute so they obviously needed a photo op.

Tulip time! I tucked away so many of these bulbs for spring and can't wait to share the blooms with you. 🌷

The frost has come, the plants are dead, the season is over. So now, we clean up the field, dig and divide dahlias, and plant tulips for spring! The end of a season prepares us for the next!

And just like that we got a hard freeze and the 2025 season is over! We're always around 5 degrees colder than the Olympia forecast in our tiny micro climate. Must be the prairie! And now, the major clean up job begins...

We made it another week with flowers, despite a couple nights in the 30s that made me nervous! That was the kick I needed to finish labeling all the dahlias though. I'm noticing how early it gets dark these days and I sure do miss the daylight! 🍁🍂
